Where exactly is Miqat Qarn al-Manazil?

It is located at As-Sail al-Kabir, roughly 75 km east of Makkah on the Taif road. It is the miqat for pilgrims arriving from Najd, Taif and the eastern regions.

Is the site open 24 hours?

Yes. The mosque, ablution areas and changing rooms operate around the clock. Shops and restaurants follow their own hours shown on this site.

Are showers and changing rooms available?

Yes, separate facilities for men and women, including showers, ablution areas and ihram changing rooms, are available free of charge.

Where can I buy ihram clothing?

The shopping arcade next to the mosque has several stores selling ihram cloth, prayer rugs, unscented soap, dates and travel essentials.

Is parking free?

Yes. Large free parking areas serve cars and buses, with dedicated accessible bays close to the mosque entrances.

What is the best time to visit?

Early morning and after Isha are the calmest. Fridays, Ramadan nights and Hajj season are the busiest — check the live status indicator on the homepage.
