About Meeqat Qarn al-Manazil (Al-Sayl Al-Kabir)

Meeqat Qarn al-Manazil, widely known as Al-Sayl Al-Kabir, is one of the official miqats designated by Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) for pilgrims traveling to Makkah to perform Hajj or Umrah. Situated approximately 75 kilometers east of Makkah, it serves as the principal boundary point for pilgrims coming from Riyadh, Najd, Taif, and eastern routes. The spacious and modern mosque complex is fully equipped to accommodate thousands of pilgrims daily with all necessary amenities before entering the sacred state of Ihram.

Ihram Preparation Checklist

Perform Ghusl (Bath)

Clip nails, trim hair, and take a fresh bath or ablution.

Wear Ihram Clothes

Put on unstitched white sheets for men and modest Islamic attire for women.

Offer Nafl Prayer

Perform two rak'ahs of prayer inside the mosque hall.

Make Niyyah & Recite Talbiyah
